Terms of Service for Lannang

These Terms govern your use of the Lannang app ("the app"), operated by Justin Luis Uy ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The app
Lannang is an educational app for learning Philippine Hokkien (Lannang-ue). Content is provided for learning purposes. We do not guarantee any particular result, fluency, or proficiency.
Accounts
You need an account to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to use the app.
Subscriptions and billing
The app offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("Lannang Plus") that unlocks additional content. Free content is available without a subscription.
- Purchases are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
- Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple or Google account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We generally cannot issue refunds directly.
- We may change subscription prices or features. Changes apply to future billing periods and, where required, only after notice and consent.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app. In particular, do not copy, scrape, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from the app's content; do not reverse engineer or interfere with the app or its security; and do not use the app to break the law.
Intellectual property
The app, its content, and its branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app for your own learning. All rights not granted are reserved.
User content
If you submit feedback or content, including optional voice recordings, you are responsible for it and confirm you have the right to share it. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use your submissions and recordings to operate and improve the app, including to correct content and to develop, train, and improve our Philippine Hokkien language and audio models. You can delete your submissions by deleting your account. We do not use your recordings to identify you.
Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or that the educational content is complete or free of inaccuracies.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or the minimum permitted by applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the app.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Republic of the Philippines, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
